Home Going services are Wednesday (10/08/14),
12:00 (noon) from Community Baptist Church of Love, 535 Broadway, Paterson, NJ.   Visitation, 11:00 am at the church.  Interment: Fairlawn Memorial Cemetery, Fairlawn, NJ.

In the beauty of a day created by GOD and consumed in time, 
God blessed the late Solon Alston and the former Lillie Gayles 
with a daughter they named Elsie. Elsie was born on December 
20, 1924 in Hackensack, NJ. She departed this life peacefully in 
her sleep on September 30,2014 at her home in Paterson.
 
A beautiful woman inside and out she was a feisty lady who was 
loving to everyone she met. She was easy to talk to and brought 
a smile to the face s of those she came into contact with she will 
be deeply missed.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. 
She leaves to fondly cherish her memory her devoted daughter 
Judith Hailstock, a cherished son Raymond Humphries, one 
sister Catherine Trice, one brother Robert Ray Alston, and a host
of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
 
Although she will be deeply missed there is comfort in knowing 
that she is at peace and has entered into eternal rest.
